VBASE X64 licensing is generally based on the runtime—that is, the part of the software that contains the finished project, communicates with remote systems, and runs on the target computer. The VBASE X64 development environment is generally FREE and can be downloaded for testing and demonstration purposes.
VBASE X64 offers various runtime systems (RT) that differ in terms of features, licensing, and price. The software is licensed/activated using a software key (Soft-Key), a hardware key for the USB interface (UKey), or as an embedded license, which is only available with a VISAM operator terminal (VTP) or automation server (VGATE) and is tied to that device.
